Hillsboro – Russell Krug, 51, WWI veteran, former resident of Hillsboro died at his home in Akron, Ohio after suffering a heart attack.  He was an employee of Firestone Rubber Company 25 years. He was married to Jewell Cory of Veedersburg, who survives with a daughter, his mother a brother and three sisters.  Funeral and burial will be in Akron. - kbz

Hillsboro – Word has been received of the sudden death of Russell Krug, 51 of Akron, Ohio, formerly of Hillsboro. No details were given but it was known that he suffered a heart attack Christmas night at his home.  He was born near Wingate, April 13, 1894, son of John and Stella Berry Krug and grew to manhood in the vicinity of Hillsboro where he graduated from HS.  He was a veteran of WWI and was married to Miss Jewell Cory of Veedersburg.  For the past 25 years he has been employed by the Firestone Rubber Co at Akron. Surviving besides his widow are a daughter, Mrs. Ray Garrett, who made her home with her parents while her husband is with the armed forces in France; his mother, Mrs. Stella Krug, Hillsboro; a brother, Herbert Krug, Hillsboro and three sisters, Mrs. George Cooper of Tab, Ind; Mrs. Mabel Tague and Mrs. Frances Parks of Crawfordsville.  Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Krug left Tuesday night for Akron, other relatives also planned to attend. - kbz
